| - Delish as usual! Flavors, herbs, spices even olive oil, really stand out in the food here. The shrimp taste you are eating here is shrimp, not 'fishy". Most likely one has been eating flavorless shrimp that has been freezer burned. Or washed in lord knows what to extend the life of the food not its flavor.
We are foodies, we notice things like this. We like to pay for a good meal, money is almost never an issue for us when it comes to dining out. I almost regularly seeing the bad reviews as a money issue. Not everyone likes to pay for a gourmet meal. To each his own. The other thing I notice is classless
behavior on the part of the reviewer. Really, that's how you act in a nice restaurant?
This isn't a Hooters.
.
Guess I could of got bent out of shape with the following issues. Why would I do that, they are just small hick ups in life. I don't go through life thinking people are just trying to F* with me.
Didn't like pushing bottled water. Used to be done quiet often at strip restaurants. Most have quit doing it. The local water is horrible. Trust me they are filtering it. Without doing that, food would not look as good. Cooked greens would look icky. Never mInd, the mall would be replacing water pipes as the build up of metals in the water would eventually ruin the pipes & they'd break.
I asked for a Pommery champagne. The server came with another brand, half empty. saying this was what was being served by the glass. Recognize this as a very expensive brand. We were first table seated right after opening for dinner. So that bottle was either opened at lunch or the night before. Said sorry not interested. Manager - might want to stop thinking your customers are stupid & that we'll just 'go along.'
I ordered an appetizer size of the prawns. Stated it a couple times, waiter stated it too.
Brought me the dinner size. I can't eat that much & These prawns would not taste good next day. Sent it back, no big drama.
Hubs says 'oh you gotta be on your toes when you eat here.' I agree but the food is so dang good I'll put up with it. IF the food wasn't good, it'd be a different story.
Life is about balance.
