  • Timeshare review. The 2 bedroom suite deluxe cost $149/night. With presentation, the suite was discounted to $100/night. For the discount, you must complete a 90min presentation about why you need their timeshare. According to our rep, Edgar, he was just coming in to help the department since they were short-staffed. This is my first timeshare presentation, and I really did want to know more information about it. My main concern was the cost, the interest and the term. Edgar did not want to get to the bottom line numbers and was upset that I kept requesting it. He walked away many times. He said that the bottom line number will only make sense to bring up once he has presented the full presentation. He kept showing us photos of places that most people vacation at. I let him know that I understand where I can vacation and did not need pics to look at. I told him that my vacations are paid by through points so my out of pocket isn't a lot. He told me that timeshares weren't for me since my vacations are paid using my points & miles. I agreed with him and he grew upset with me. I guess he didn't want me to disagree with him and purchase the timeshare. He made us wait another 15 mins by ourselves. I asked him when we were good to go back to our hotel and he said that he needed to get approval from the manager to sign off on our promotion. Eventually I got up to talk to the front desk who signed us in and they told me that I had to wait. I requested to speak to the manager and another rep passed by and asked what the issue was. She said that the wait time for the manager to sign off is only 5mins and she wanted me to take her back to Edgar. Edgar told her that he was the manager and I said great, now u can sign off. Edgar sat down back with us and finally brought out the cost sheet with interest, terms & cost. While presenting all this to us, that other rep was watching him. This made me laugh. Eventually another lady showed up and tried re-presenting the timeshare presentation. By this time, I was very annoyed and asked if she wasn't the manager to please just get me a manager to sign off. The thing is, there was no manager to sign off, there is no mandatory 90min presentation. If u sit through it all, it's over 90mins long. The interest is over 19%, the cost is based on how many bedrooms u want. Bottom line: Westgate wants you to sign up for the timeshare. They make a lot of money off of it and the interest! Edgar kept explaining that Westgate spends a lot of money to get people in front of the reps to buy the timeshare. I will never purchase timeshare because of the many bad reviews and thanks to reps like Edgar B., who grew upset with me for requesting the bottom line numbers.
