  • While I do love this old lady of a theatre, I have to say Ed Mirvish productions suck. Notice in the other reviews people talk about how beautiful the theatre is but not the service? Mirvish pretty much owns the theatre business in Toronto. I once again got suckered into buy season tickets but this will be the last time for sure. You don't get to pick the dates or seat, they are computer generated and they give the subscription people the worse seats available not respecting that a subscriber if treated will come back vs having to hustle for seat sales because you mistreated your subscribers. Theatre got exciting for a while when Dancap productions landed on the scene. Even Mirvish had to provide better service to compete. But Mirvish pulled a lot of strings to put Dancap out of business to maintain their monopoly. Now I have to call and change all the dates they have given my for my subscription and I bet I won't be given choice dates because they got my money now and I can't back out. While I love live theatre, I will leave it now to when I am in New York or London.
