In addition to being a silver elite, one of the other main reasons we originally picked this hotel was because there was an airport shuttle and Hertz offered pick up and delivery to their location. Both of those "services" created issues.
First of all, many hotels offer shuttle service with vans back and forth to the airport. No mention online that reservations are required for this service. Our first contact with hotel staff was with the evening front desk manager. She was curt and let us know we'd have to wait since the next shuttle was full.. She also told us we should have made reservations. Who would have known? About a half hour later we noticed the first shuttle for Towneplace and asked if they were full. Nope ... they had about ten extra seats. Thank goodness for that.
When we arrived no one was at the front desk. We waited about ten minutes and I walked around. Finally she showed up.
The hotel, the front area and the rooms are fabulous. Everything is beautiful, clean and nicely furnished. We loved the room and the location.
There are lots of complimentary items on their breakfast bar from cold cereal, to muffins, to waffles and even eggs and sausage or bacon. However, the eggs were not appetizing. They were prepared eggs and delivered to the hotel from what we were told. The sausage was cold.
Kudos to Daniel at the front desk. He was helpful and the friendliest person at the hotel.
The Hertz pick up and drop off did not work out as expected. The pickup was timely but the drop off was not. We had to wait and wait and wait for them to be available for drop off. Since we had a flight to catch we ended up taking our own taxi from the Hertz rental facility back to the hotel. So, if you're thinking you can have an easy car rental experience with Hertz from here, it just might not happen either.
Would we stay here again? Most definitely now that we know how it works but we wouldn't count on Hertz.
