I dined alone. The host as well as the server were the nicest. Maybe a big group is different. I ordered just a salad and an entree. The asian pear salad was a simple idea but presented in a new twist. the greens were wrapped in thinly slidced proscuitto sitting atop crisp pear with this fun little blue cheese/toasted hazelnut combo on the side. it was a work of art. the decor is very nice and it's not "romantic" . It has a bit of hip vibe and I could see it becoming a great night scene. I ordered the salmon, I was told it was the one item on the menu that has been there since the beginning - a tried and true dish. Sadly, the salmon was overcooked and I wish I would have asked them to remake it when the server checked in on me, "how is your dinner?"
However, the braised greens and the grits were wonderful! Sersiosly! next time, just bring me a dish of that. the BBQ shrimp on the same plate were tasty as well. I might come for lunch tomorrow and ask for the grits/braised greens! :)
Lots of wines by the glass too! A lone business travelers dream!
