  • If you expect great customer service, this is not the hotel for you. Nothing gets done around here. I am here on WCB for a work related injury return to work program for 2 months with a 1 year old and two dogs (2 of the friendliest, happiest dogs you would ever meet) and in order to have my room cleaned, I need to get the dogs out of the room, because every single one of the housekeepers are deathly afraid of dogs, leaving me to feel awkward and uncomfortable walking them down the hallways as they (the housekeepers) all run in opposite directions, scrambling and bumping into each other in a panic to get away, and often trap themselves in the hallway that im trying to walk through (which either scares, confuses or excites my dogs, creating an even bigger reaction, as the dogs think they're playing with them). And while juggling a baby and two leashes, this can become extremely frustrating and even painful should the dogs pull away from me. And I'm already suffering through enough pain as it is. The front desk staff don't seem to care or take their jobs too seriously. I get this feeling from the non-compliance or laziness that i hear from them when i ask them for something. A few examples: The dog garbage can (for all the poop) was overflowing for 3 and a half days, even though I started letting them know about it on day 1. The front desk staff just shrugs and says "I asked him ( the maintenance guy) to already, hell probably get around to it tomorrow" Another time, I ran out of toilet paper and phoned the front desk to bring some ASAP, 20 minutes later i called back and they said "im waiting for a housekeeper to come by so I can send them with a roll" (they told me the housekeepers have no radios, which i later found out that they in fact do carry radios.) The maintenance guy (the guy who doesnt like emptying the garbage cans) was weedwhacking outside, I was walking to my car with my son walking beside me, and instead of stopping his machine to allow us to walk by, he just looked at us while continuing to trim the grass less than 3 feet from my kid! I had to cover his face with my hand to protect his eyes. Theres a free breakfast buffet 7 days a week, and dinner 3 nights a week. But dont be fooled, the food is beyond terrible. (Except for the waffle machine... But that doesnt really do my health any justice.) I'd rather have what my dogs are eating. The coffee is decent, however. And always hot. Every time I ask to have my room cleaned, the housekeepers acknowledge me, and we work out a time that they can "come in" because none will come inside my room with my dogs; I have to round them up, and my toddler and keep them out of the room for around an hour. When i get back from that stressful hour expexting a clean room to relax in, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!! When i asked for them to replace my towels, i was told "im sorry sir, we only have one towel left". How is that even allowed to be a possibility? Its the same thing with the dishes and utensils in the buffet; they never have clean ones and resort to giving styrofoam plates and bowls and plastic forks out.... Why not just buy more instead of being so eco-unfriendly? If this was my hotel, i would fire most of the housekeepers and most of the front desk staff, save for maybe 2 of them, and hire all new staff, and the interview should include dogs to weed out those who are afraid, as last i checked this was a "dog friendly" hotel? Not a "oh my fucking God, run for your lives theres dogs in the hotel!!" hotel. "Staybridge Suites" more like: "Stay the hell away"
