We recently visited Montreal on business for a Trade Show and we were recommended to try this place for supper by a friend. At first, the folks greeted us gladly. We were served cordially. We engaged in conversation with the lady that was waiting on us and the next thing we knew, she was pouring shot glasses of her choice welcoming us to Montreal. We were having a great time.
Suddenly, her attitude changed from being welcoming to being cold and indifferent. My friend and I looked at each other and didn't understand the switch of character. One of the owners was present and encouraged another round of drinks. He was a very warm gentleman. Once we decided to close out the bill, we noticed that we were charged for everything we didn't ask for (specifically the beverages).
PROS: The sushi was ok and the food from the regular menu was delicious.
CONS: When someone offers you a drink, it's an expression of hospitality, a gesture of welcome and kindness, not customer gouging. Strange service I would say! ....
OVERALL: I highly do not recommend this place. The food was ok, but not worth the bipolar attitude we received. The word is odd!
