| - DO NOT MOVE HERE!
All the negative reviews are correct and YES - They send you an outrageous bill on your way out and threaten to send you to collections. Management is an office full of sociopaths. You will find it is a revolving door as the only normal office managers tend to catch on quick an move the heck on.
This is a slum in every sense of the word. The phone book size contract they have you sign requires legal aid to decipher, because essentially, if you are broke enough you need to move here, you probably cannot afford an attorney to verify you aren't signing all your renters rights away.
Maintenance is almost non-existent. I lived there for two and a half years. Eventually, I gave up making requests. If you have children, do not move here. There are very shady people living within this complex. A fire occurred a few months back and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a meth lab.
My move out experience was ridiculous. The nastiest manager I had ever met in that office, (let's say her name rhymes with "Estiny") refused to conduct a standard checklist walk through that I could review and sign, even though I arranged an appointment and arrived at the agreed time. She had a class she needed to make...She didn't have the time.
She charged me full price for move out fees even though our contract states that I should only be charged 25% of the cost. Not that it actually costs them anything. I left the place spotless and all that was necessary was a small touch up job on the bathroom door frame. Estiny said herself, this is something maintenance could handle.
When I complained to upper management about the statement I received (late, because Estiny actually mailed it to the apartment I just moved out,) the reply was an inexcusable email with even more inflated charges for a full paint job and an unreasonable fee for carpet cleaning - but I would only be responsible for 25%... Really?
These people are sick. There are great apartments and condo's out there for just as much or for just a little more. Believe me, whatever you think you would be saving, you will be charged in the constantly fluctuating utilities bill.
What finally made me decide to move the heck out - besides the insanely loud air conditioning unit blasting dust into the air, the parade of new shady neighbors moving in and out every few months, the smell of weed and cigarettes at my door, the possibility of mold in the walls, the thin walls - (my ex-neighbor has a really awesome love life )- the lack of maintenance, the garbage - oh the garbage everywhere - parking wars - Sorry, they fixed the parking issue - no more assigned parking, so if you are home late, you may need to take a long walk in your scary new neighborhood alone in the middle of the night if you can't find a spot nearby. I still thought, but I'm saving money...
The straw that broke was the water pipe leak. A major pipe had been leaking for a while and finally needed repair - no notice. Every now and then we would be stuck without water, sometimes during very inconvenient moments. I'm sure the increase in water charges had something to do with this.
The list really goes on and on. Nearly three years of this place, I should have written a book of short stories, you would never believe. Just don't move here. You can do better. They are nice at first and they turn cold fast. They are thieves and this is a slum. Find yourself a nice place. You deserve better!! I found infinitely better for only a hundred dollars more a month. No fluctuating utility costs.
On the other hand, if you are a meth addict, a drug dealer, really shady and possibly criminal - welcome home!
