I used to come to this place when it used to be Fiddler's Green and to be honest, aside the sign in front, I would not had even noticed the difference. They both have the same vibe. Which is to say a divey looking bar.
The best thing about this place is their patio at Front. It is nicely shaded during the summer and Wellesley is just quiet enough (sort of) that you are not distracted by traffic noise. Great place to have a few drinks.
Inside is generally 'meh' typical pub like decor. Lots of greens, maybe the odd red and yellow. Like most British pubs. They do have Karaoke which is touch and go, since you normally get one or two large groups and the odd couples. But it never seems to be packed.
I recommend it if you leave nearby and for the size. If you have a large party, which I do from time to time, then they can open the second floor room. So you can have it all to yourself free of charge. If your crowd is in pub-state-of-mind, then you can have a lot fun in this place.
