| - 3 STARS FOR THE PARROT ''SECTION'', because that lady was NOT very friendly, I am not going to beg to adopt, you know, it seemed like a bigger fuss having a bird then a dog or cat....
They had only 3 budgies, I have one at home and said that would prefer a girl because the current one is a boy then she got upset that then they would breed and they don't give it for that, etc, well, usually birds do not breed when captured,
it is a very rare case...
I just wanted to help but it's fine I will go to a petstore and buy there as it costs the SAME, if it was a ''proper'' big parrot I would understand the worry but what's the fuss about a budgie? I have had 2 in my childhood , and having one currently, and know they are very sensitive and noisy too but if she is so protective then why do they want to adopt them???!!!
One more thing, she said these birds usually dislike noise and they give them for a QUIET household, wtf, what did you think I am going to live like I was a ghost or a hiding criminal, watching my breath and movement not to make any noise because the bird can get heart attack?
You are mental, dude! Am I not going to watch tv or live because of a bird, should a bird dictate my daily routine????
Excuse me but what bullsh@t is that, I did not intend to play heavy metal music for them but since I have a child (that I told is in daycare most of the day and in the evenings we are out so he would not bother the bird, he does not bother the current one) what do you think how high level the noise is in the nature among wild animals??? In the nature there are hundred kinds of birds making noise and what about the daily hazards, predators to face..
And these budgies are usually sold as children's pets, but my idea is if you really want to help them then just ship them back to the nature because that would be the biggest help for them giving back their freedom where they can wander around hundreds of miles a day.
They also had turtles which are not the turtles in the petstores for sale, these kinds can bite so I decided not to take any I do not want to be bitten while cleaning them.
4 stars for the dog and cat adoption staff, they were nice and enthusiastic
by the way it was at their exhibition on the weekend all the puppies and kittens were gone within few hrs, thanks god I am happy! So we wait until they have new ones, since we bought a big house we can even rescue several animals considering fostering too, hopefully they will be glad having someone trying to help unlike this young girl with the budgies
