I began my Jiu-Jitsu training at the tender young age of 54. During the ensuing years I have had the pleasure of training (one on one) at some of the finest jiu-jitsu schools and with some of the best instructors on two continents. It is from that vantage point that I do not hesitate to say that Sim Go's "Cobra Kai Jiu-Jitsu ranks at the very top of my list based on instruction, the facility and the attitude of the school!
Sim has assembled a fine groups of tournament tested Black Belts to help him teach the fine art of Jiu-Jitsu. Rodrigo, Paul and Dave (to name some but not all) all work closely with Sim to give their students the advantage of first rate quality instruction both from a technical and practical perspective. All of the instructors are friendly and place jib-jitsu first and ego second. This helps create a learning environment that is second to none.
The facility itself is well sized and well equipped. It has a friendly feeling to it. It is clean and bright. It is an excellent physical classroom to train in.
The attitude of both the staff and the students is one of honesty and congeniality. Sam (Sim's father) is quick with a smile and a warm welcome as is Leah (Rodgrigo's wife) and if you are lucky you just might get some of Leah's home baked goodies! The students are open and friendly. All of these factors combine to make Cobra Kai a top notch Jiu-jitsu/MMA school that ranks among the very best!!
If you are interested in giving Jiu-Jitsu a try or if you are from out of town and need a good place to work out I encourage you to stop by. If you happen by and see a guy with white hair give me a shout!
