Came in looking for my beloved Salmon Croquettes after not being able to find them at the TJ's on Tatum & Shea in PV. I've been buying them twice a month for almost the last year.
At the PV store, a nice man told me they had recently run out of stock and they weren't sure when they would be back in. Made it sound like he didn't have much hope it would be anytime soon, but kindly offered to call me when they were back in stock.
I declined and decided to take my search elsewhere because at this point, I haven't had my salmon croquettes in over a week and I'm starting to develop symptoms of withdrawal! Ugh!
So in my state of despair, I came to this store the next day to see if the croquette gods would possibly smile down on me enough to be able to secure at least ONE box of these yummy fish-tastic treats.
I didn't see them in the freezer section so I asked one of the "gentlemen" (using that term loosely because he was a colossal jerk) if he knew why they were suddenly missing and when they would be back. He was rude, abrupt, and impatient and told me they were a "seasonal" item and he didn't know when they would be back in store.
He then went back to talking with his buddies as if to say "you're dismissed".
Um what? Why in sam hell would a fish patty be seasonal and wow, what a liar. I have been buying these regularly since Sept 2015. Every single month.
So what "season" does the 10 months from Sept-July constitute??
Clearly this guy lied to me to get rid of me rather than do any reasearch or try to pull an honest answer from anywhere that wasn't his butt.
Emailed TJ's corporate customer service last night and received a response today that the Salmon Croquettes are temporarily unavailable due to production delays until the beginning of September. They are not seasonal!
I knew that already though.
Needless to say, I dont appreciate being lied to and treated like some sort of pest when I'm routinely spending money at a business. I'll keep my patronage at the PV store where they actually attempt to help their customers.
