Love this place! This is a slightly wacky old - school Italian place. Yes, it's in the basement, and yes, you'll pass the bathroom as you make your way down the stairs. The dining room has a low ceiling and year-round Christmas lights. They don't take reservations, I don't think, and it can get crowded so coming at an off time is a good idea. The salads and vegetarian antipasto are delicious; for some reason there's a small portion of pesto pasta on the vegetarian antipasto. The true specialty here, and what most people seem to be ordering, is the pizza. It's extremely thin crust with a lot of cornmeal so it has a real chewy crunchy texture. Toppings are fresh and delicious. Save room for homemade desserts if you can. I've only ever had the tiramisu, but it's yummy and the portion is huge.
