So before the Mesa Riverview Park opened up, this place was without a doubt my daughter's favorite place to go. prior to that when my sons were young enough to appreciate going to a little kids park, they used to absolutely adore coming here.
They have a great traditional playground, a separate playground which is also really cool and has a Western ghost town theme, TONS of open grass to throw a ball around on, a very inexpensive carousel along with an equally inexpensive fully operational train that all the kids and even the adults can ride.
During the weeks leading up to Christmas and a couple of weeks afterwards they have a really cool Christmas themed decoration set up for the train ride... Reminiscent of an attempt to do The North Pole Train Ride thing. Good stuff.
Last but not least there's also a very cool train Museum on site where you can go and see a lot of really cool old toy trains and villages. The concession stand with hot dogs, burgers, ice cream, kettle corn and drinks is a welcome site for refreshments.
