| - Lee Canyon is a cool retreat from Sin City, and although not a major Ski resort, it serves as a good fix for ski bums and snowboarders alike. We went up to test out the tubing because the lack of snow this year didn't convince us to buy snowboard passes. After an afternoon dealing with the set up of the tubing area, it was pretty disappointing. It cost $25 per person for an hour and half session. We averaged 5 runs because it was WAY too crowded and people were injuring themselves.
Initially, they let three riders go together, which is ideal for parents who have young kids. Then, after 30 minutes, they restricted it to two riders. Then an hour into it, only single riders. The staff said this was for safety reasons because of icing, but any parent will tell you that letting a 3 year old go down the hill on their own is totally unsafe!
Overall, it's overcrowded, inefficient and the safety policy is not thought out--not worth going back.
