I've been coming here every summer for a few years now and have seeing it slowly decline. I don't think the owners have put a single cent into renovating this place or hiring staff who actually care. This last trip over memorial day weekend was my final
straw. I have two small children (ages 1 & 2) an had booked a non smoking room. When we got there, the had put us in a smoking room and said no other rooms were available. After a 20 minute fight, they finally accommodated us. When we got to our "non-smoking" room, it was filthy and still smelled of cigarettes. I instantly went to the store and bought air freshener and Clorox wipes to do my own cleaning. I laid down blankets on the stained carpet just so my children could be on the floor. The bathtub took about an hour to drain. The glass in the window wasn't fully attached to the frame so it was weak and whenever a slight wind came by, it rattled so hard I thought it would shatter. We were only able to get two temperatures with the water .... Scalding and freezing! The a/c didn't cool the room below 85 even when it was 75 outside. The layer of dirt and filth on the window sills, lamp shades, and other miscellaneous places was disgusting! Our coffee pot hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. Because we were on the ground floor, the traffic of bugs walking through was constant. Needless to say, they've lost a long time customer. They have an amazing location. It's a shame they've let it go to crap.
