| - Having lived in Asia for several years, I was familiar with this hotel chain and very excited to try the one in Vegas.
I'd give this one 4.5 stars -- Perhaps they are still working out some kinks, because while the service was good, it wasn't (sorry) up to the standards of its older sister hotels. That having been said, it WILL be my first choice for a hotel in Vegas going forward (though admittedly I have yet to stay at the Four Seasons). In other words -- it's an AMAZING hotel, but if you're expecting the same service as, say, MO in Hong Kong...it's not quite there. Yet, at least.
My nitpicky kvetching aside, the room was so nice I didn't want to leave.
I took a long bath with the (complimentary!) lavender bath salts, sipped a cup of (complimentary!) mint tea, did a relaxing evening yoga routine with the (you guessed it...complimentary) yoga mat & dvd provided in the room, and slipped into the most comfortable hotel bed for the most restful sleep I've had in a long, long time. (and yes, the bed is complimentary too!!)(ha ha...)
Also, the gym is outstanding. Cardio equipment overlooks Crystals; the weight equipment by "Technogym" is amazing (they have something called a Kinesis wall that offers amazing resistance training) and even some machines to help you stretch out your hamstrings and quads. The gym "attendant" (understatement...he was more like a personal trainer) provided personal attention and advice for which machines to use and how to best use them. Quite a step up from the normal "here is your towel and water now leave me alone" you get at other hotel gyms.
Once the rest of the hotel finds its stride with some of its service levels, this will be hands-down the best hotel in Vegas.
