I'll start this by saying I usually stay at Hilton properties to rack up my Honors points, but on this particular work trip all the Hilton hotels in the area were booked up. I went with the next logical option the Marriott Residence Inn. The check in process was painless as I was able to do it a day in advance on my mobile app. When I got to the hotel the clerk was very friendly and offered to show me around the amenities before I went up to my high floor room that I didn't even have to request.
Upon entering my room, I noticed it appeared to be very recently remodeled and clean. I like how the bedrooms are separated, unlike the Homewood Suites I usually stay at. The couch in the living room was a rather large sectional and I felt comfortable on my week long stay having some separation of the living spaces.
I managed to use the fitness facility on site daily and it was rather basic but got the job done with fairly new equipment. The only negative on my entire stay was the quality of the free breakfast, which included the normal bread offerings, cereals, and some sort of egg on a daily basis. The eggs were of the packaged sort and didn't appear very fresh. Overall I would definitely see myself staying here again the next time my work travels bring me to Cleveland, which is fairly often.
