  • 1st visit was way back in October, but I've put off writing a review until now. Booked a session with Nikki, for cut and colour. Like many Asian girls, I wanted long back layers, flattering layered bangs, and a pretty but subtle colour job. As simple as that may sound, not all outcomes are the same. Nikki really took time to analyze my hair texture, understand my daily hair habits, and face shape to determine and make suggestion of how to cut my hair. She also taught me how to properly dry my hair so it doesn't always look so frizzy. I went on a weekend and the small salon did get busy, but I never felt rushed. With scissors in hand, I felt her confidence and sincere attempt to transform my hair into something we would both feel satisfy with. Though the hair dye application part was done by an assistant while she simultaneously work on another client close by, she was always aware of me e.g. she ensures that the colour is precisely set, ensures assistant applied dye evenly on, and watches time carefully for different parts of the hair (previously coloured hair). Aside from that, other parts of the experience was nice as well. They really put more effort than many other salons to ensure you're happy, like serving you a choice of drink, ensuring you have enough magazines, giving you a token gift at the end of the visit (not sure if that has anything to do with amounts tipped). Massage was nice as well, not as long as I hoped to be though :) Anyhow, another happy customer here, and definitely will go back again soon.
