| - Went here for brunch a couple times and dinner once and had overall positive experiences.
First time, my girlfriend ordered mango juice and Cinnabon pancakes. The mango juice was simply awesome, very fresh. The pancakes were equally tasty, warm, soft, and just the right amount of cream.
I ordered the masa boat surprise, which was basically a large assortment of scrambled eggs, chorizo, beans, and vegetables with a cornmeal "boat." This boat was an absolutely mouthwatering crispy, cheesy biscuit and to me was the highlight of the dish. It came with tortillas too so you can make a couple breakfast tacos within the meal.
We both split a side of house potatoes and unfortunately they were noticeably over salted, essentially impossible to eat. We told the waiter and he assured us they would cook a fresh batch. Unfortunately the new batch had 0 salt on it, so this was either a misunderstanding, misguided nice gesture, or intentionally unsympathetic. Either way, we salted it ourselves and added hot sauce in order to be able to eat it. They were quite crispy and fresh otherwise.
Our waiter was very attentive and great. I had my coffee refilled throughout the entire meal, which was much appreciated.
The second time, I ordered the Lloyd's omelet, which had smoked trout, cream cheese, and avocado. It was awesome and very filling. My girlfriend had a fruit bowl, which was alright but the waiter snatched it before she was done eating without asking. So that was weird.
Overall, I had a positive time both visits and would recommend going for brunch if you haven't already. There aren't many other places with CU that do legitimate brunches with so many options like Radio Maria.
As for dinner, I ordered the paella and it was delicious, but way too pricy in my opinion. The service was fine and I really enjoyed the bottomless $15 mimosa deal, which offered orange, strawberry, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, guava, peach, and pear.
