  • This location of Clothes Mentor is, in my opinion, unequivocally the best branch in Pittsburgh!!! The girls I sold to were pleasant and helpful and they went through my "consignment" quickly and efficiently. I still don't love the buying process of this company in general - I think the pricing is way under what it should be and is at other area buy to resell shops. But, for what it is, I'm pleased with this Clothes Mentor! Why pleased? Because the selection is great here and organized really well for browsing! I found affordable Gucci (yes please!) and saw a ton of Anthro brands, Free People, Jeffrey Campbell, Urban Outfitters, Madewell, Irregular Choice, and lots of Nordstrom and indie US made brands. They don't just buy chicos and "preppy" mall brands here! I always find some great sterling and designer jewelry pieces for a fraction of the retail cost. Best of all, everything is organized really well and displayed so that it's browsable. I have never left without making a purchase at this branch. While I'll never recommend taking your clothes to sell at Clothes Mentor (there are just soooo many better options as far as giving you a better price for your higher end items) unless you are selling moderately priced mall brands, I definitely recommend buying at this location - you just might find a great deal! Plus, Plato's Closet is almost next door; You can hit both at once!
