  • A friend who is a student at the institute told me that you can get free 3-D ultrasounds here performed by students so they can get their clinical hours in. FREE is my middle name, and I'm willing to get a massage and my hair cut by students, so why not an ultrasound? The student tech was very nice and knew what she was doing. She took about a 1/2 hour doing standard ultrasound views and measurements to practice and then switched over to 3-D, which was pretty cool! We had a hard time getting the baby into the right position to see his face, but when we did it was really amazing to see my little guy! They sent me home with tons of photos and I would go back again. They also have a program for discounted ultrasounds if you don't have insurance. Something like $50 for a heart ultrasound and whatever else you would need to have done...as long as you have a referral.
