| - As most of the other reviewers seem to have, I picked up one of those group deals for teeth whitening at Beauty Bar. I called to book an appointment, set one up for today, about a week after the initial call. The day before my appointment, I received a text message on the phone number I had given them reminding me of my appointment. I thought that was a nice touch, as I cant always answer my phone (work, etc).
Since I live very close, I arrived a few minutes early to fill out any necessary paperwork etc. The two girls working were nice enough. The appointment before me was running a few minutes late, but as I had the day off and a book in my purse, I didnt mind a bit. A few minutes later, one of the girls called my name, led me to the treatment room, and explained it all. She was super friendly and personable and answered all the questions I had. She offered me one of those finger toothbrush thingeys, but I'd brushed my teeth literally 5 minutes before, so didnt need to repeat. My voucher was for a double treatment, and honestly the worst part about the whole experience was keeping my mouth open for 40 minutes straight (no fault of the clinic's). She gave me a few minutes between treatments to let my teeth (and face muscles!) rest, then resumed. Anyone thinking of having this treatment done, I'd recommend bringing an iPod. For most of the treatment, youre alone in a room, its impossible to read because of the position of the machine, and it can get a bit boring. The only other thing was that I wasnt a fan of the music they were playing. Loud GaGa is not exactly my thing, but that may have had more to do with my hangover than anything.
When it was all finished, she checked the shade of my teeth and it was the second-whitest one possible (not bad for a smoking, espresso-loving wine-o!).
Top-to-bottom, a fabulous experience! Thank you Beauty Bar LC!
