| - We had Moar taking care of our lawn for a few years and even got a few of our neighbors to sign up on our referral.
Unfortunately their level of service has consistently dropped. They sent different crews all the time but did not relay our standing instructions or they failed to do routine tasks like trimming our few shrubs so we would have to do it, and often to re-now when they left their blade to high, and to repair our irrigation plugs that they mowed off, etc.
We rarely complained but when we did, Brent in their office always took good care of us. Someone else has now taken over on the office for Brent and the level of customer Service has gone to zero. We found this person to have very poor people handling skills, to be argumentative and rather than just say "We'll take care of it" to be very defensive. Of course this was upsetting.
My husband waited all morning for their irrigation specialist to come by and specifically asked that he ring the bell so he could show my husband the problem. Instead, he came and did not knock or ring. The office person (who was not with him and had no first-hand knowledge of whether he rang or knocked) decided to argue the point. My husband got very frustrated as that should not have even been the issue. She just should have apologized and sent the Tech back. She then transferred the call to the owner without saying she was doing so (mid-sentence my husband realized she had placed him on music hold). Neither of us has ever spoken to him before so my husband did not even know at the time who he was talking to, nor did the owner know what good customers we have been for years or the number of neighbors who have signed up with them because of us. By then, for he first time ever with Moar, my husband was hot under the collar. The owner could have identified himself and easily diffused the situation as my husband is a reasonable person. Instead he told him they were terminating our service.
Because we are very loyal and really liked Brent, who we usually interfaced with, we were willing to overlook the often substandard work of late, the dropped balls and the excessive surcharges.
I note that Moar only has 3 stars on Yelp, yet they are more expensive than most competitors especially smaller lawn services or one-man operations where you can count on the same person every time and where your business really matters to them.
I urge you to look around, price check and read the reviews here before going with Moar. They clearly have no loyalty to their good, long-time customers!
