| - I've reviewed over 30 JJ gyms in southern california, this is my first one I tried out in Vegas. I was honestly expecting very little, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the people to roll with there. There were three black belts (who I think were all instructors there, but all three of them rolled, so that's good), I believe two browns, and maybe two purple's, although I can only for sure think of one. A couple blue's and quite a few whites, as is the case with most gym. For it being a small gym, the quality of students was good, and if you live in the immediate area as I do, there aren't a lot of other close options. So i'd check it out. Seems like it'd also be a good place for beginners. It's pretty relaxed in terms of formality, which I like. I've been inside a couple relatively strict gyms like University of JJ, and Gracie headquarters in Torrance, but I prefer the relaxed atmosphere. I'd recommend checking it out. Apparently they teach leg locks to lower belts there (at least blue belts, but I assume white's as well), which I also think is a very good idea, it's kind of old-school to not and it's ridiculous how much I know, and yet still literally know nothing about leg locks.
