For an airport, you can't expect much. It's merely a place for travelers to commute and get to their destination with high prices for food. Charlotte Douglas is no less than that. However, I do enjoy my time here compared to other airports I've been in. Currently I'm here, writing this review, swinging in one of the rocking chairs, listening to someone play a piano while I wait for my flight. Food choices are not bad as well. While yes they are more expensive, some of Charlotte's best food is here. The new market by terminal A features all the best beers and raw bar (so you don't have to venture to terminal D to get your last NoDa beer on tap before you leave Charlotte. There's a big daddy's burger bar for the best burger in town and of course bojangles if your craving for fried chicken kicks in. All in all, time passes fast here at Charlotte Douglas and it's not a bad place for a layover.
