  • A scam. The website claims that they are offering 30% off. I clicked their link to get an online estimate. I entered my number of rooms, number of stairs, etc. It totalled $176 and change. I entered the promo code (listed right there on the same page where you detail the number of rooms) for the 30% off, and it readjusted to $124 and change. I asked to be contacted to schedule the appointment. Received a call promptly thereafter. ALSO received a NEW quote of $199 and change. The man said that they "include cleaning the halls and closets for free." When I told him the quote I received was $124, he claimed that it was before the closets and halls were added in. I said, "You just said they were free, so what difference would that make?" Then he changed the story to say that the online promo was acting up and double-crediting customers and he "doesn't know why it does that." Right. Well, if you already KNOW that it "does that," then why didn't you fix it so it doesn't "do that?" I tried to explain that it did NOT double credit me (it didn't), and he again changed his story to state that this new quote includes pre-treatment, which is supposedly why the closets are free. I didn't ask for pre-treatment, nor was it even mentioned on the website. If it's $75 bucks to "pre-treat" (whatever THAT means, anyway; I've had my carpets shampooed many times by professionals without any "pre-treatment" necessary), I'll skip the "free" closets, thank you very much. I tried to tell him I didn't want "pre-treatment", but, each time I tried to speak, he cut me off and kept repeating the same thing over and over. After no less than eight attempts to make a comment, I finally just used my handy "end call" button and hung up on him. It was obvious that he wasn't going to let me speak, and that the "30% off" is a loss-leader scam to get people to set up an appointment, whereupon they start burying you in repetitive jibberish in the hopes that they'll either wear you down or confuse you with nonsense-speak and wrestle another $75 from you. At this point, if they offered to do my carpet for free, I wouldn't do business with them. I don't like being lied to. Fool me once, and all that.
