I don't visit Montreal often enough to say that this is the best poutine in the city. I'm a poutine purist; I'll take the classic fries, curds, and sauce over your fancy concoctions. So just bear that in mind as I say that I'm ecstatic over their poutine.
I had the standard poutine, which is made with a chicken-based sauce over a generous pile of fresh cheese curds, and underneath that fries that have been first blanched in lower-temperature oil and then finished a la minute at 375, making for a crispy fry with a fluffy interior. It's a thinner-than-normal fry for poutine (if I had to guess I'd say it's 3/8 inch), but somehow it works for me to get the textures and flavors just right for poutine.
The room is tiny; there is maybe space for 15-18 at the bar, counters, and tables all told. For me it's the mark of a joint that does one thing very well, without any wish to dilute that.
I also had a perfectly serviceable slider on the side. Their sliders are good.
