| - IKEA is an acronym made up of four letters:
I K E A. I is for Ingvar, the first name of the founder of IKEA stores. K is for Kamprad, the last name of the founder of IKEA stores. E is for Elmtaryd, the name of the farm where Ingvar Kamprad grew up. A is for Agunnaryd, the name of the village near Kamprad's boyhood home. That's where the name IKEA came from:)
I have a love/hate thing going with IKEA, but mostly love:)
Cons- a few items I purchase, then get home to realize some of the pieces weren't included in the box.
-the line for returns/has always been long..
-sometimes, you just want to run in for one or two things, but you have to walk through a lot of the store to get to those one or two things.
Love- I've always gotten very friendly helpful employees, who offer their help( I must have that lost look goin).. :)
-the items are great if your decorating on the cheap.
-differant, modern, fun, lamps, lights, chairs, etc.
- I love the proud feeling after I put something together.( ok I know it usually just involves a nail and a screwdriver, but let me pretend!)
- it's fun to walk through and check out the set up kitchens, or dining rooms etc.
- I live pretty close, so if I do have items with pieces missing, it's a short drive.
They also set me up for their email club, I forgot the name, but you save money on certain products. Haven't tried the food items, but their lingonberry drink and chocolate are great!
Ok IKEA , I really have no hate towards you, in fact, I'll see ya tomorrow:)
