First impressions can tell you a lot. So here's mine and why I won't ever go back.
I was taking a holiday road trip from Phoenix to Upper Michigan in December. I took my truck (Silverado) in to be checked out before such a road trip and repeatedly asked them to winterize my truck so I wouldn't have to deal with fluids freezing. My headlights were also not adjusted properly and they ended up fully replacing them at a great expense to me. Well with an oil change, check up, and replacing my stock headlights with new stock headlights and swallowing a bill that was over $1k. I was given confidence my truck could make the trip and was winterized.
Well outside the valley and driving in colder climates I notice my windshield wiper fluid isn't working, which is a big deal when driving with snow, sleet, mud, salt hitting my window. Turns out the fluids were never winterized and the reservoir had frozen. Meaning I had to stop frequently to hand wash the windshield.
About half way through my trip my truck dies 3/4 the way through Missouri. My alternator went out and needed to be replaced. In fairness, I don't fault them for this as it's hard to predict parts breaking down especially when I've already made it halfway across the country. Still salt in the wound.
Once arriving to my families they were kind enough to allow me to park my truck in the garage with a heater on to attempt to thaw the reservoir to no avail. Which meant making the return trip with no washer fluid.
I will say staff was extremely friendly, but if you can't do the job requested you lose my business, especially when you charge an arm and a leg and tell me my vehicle is winterized to my face which was a lie.
