2015 was my first year attending Life is Beautiful festival.
We stayed at the Golden Nugget for all three days of the festival. I highly recommend staying on Fremont street. The hotels are really close to the venue and they had hotel deals on drinks, food, and everything else for people attending the show.
I highly recommend trying this festival out. I will definitely be going to future shows.
Highlights:
Art: There is so much to see. We didn't get to see everything that they had to offer. If you do attend the festival, set aside some time to look around. Art Motel is wonderful.
Food: We did not see any of the culinary spotlights (we had VIP and did not see any of these pop-up demos) The food stands that were in the food court areas were delicious. There were plenty of options, plenty of space to lay out and eat.
Music: The crowds we small and the shows were intimate. For both VIP and GA. VIP areas were great. Enough space to sit down in the grass and be a few yards away from the artists was awesome.
Some improvements:
VIP: More benefits for the dollar spent! Although the experience was great, it would be nice if there were some extra bonuses or discounts on food and drink.
Music: I enjoyed seeing new artists but the festival seems to be going in the direction of EDM. If you look at the 2014 lineup compared to the 2015, the star power was just lacking.
