Took my adult daughter into the ER at Mercy last Thursday. Won't go into her physical situation, but the visit went as follows: Go to Check-In desk and give name, etc. and have a bracelet put on. Sit in waiting area for half an hour. Nurse takes her into an area behind the Check-In desk and takes vitals. They also took blood. Sit in waiting area for another hour and a half. She is then called to the Registration Desk to give all insurance information, etc. Sit for another half hour until a nurse comes out and says she is going to take blood. My daughter tells her she has already had blood drawn -- nurse says "then why did they tell me draw blood?" Sit in waiting area for another 45 minutes. She is then called into a "room" where she sits for yet another 45 minutes before a doctor comes in. This is the MOST inefficient process I have ever seen. I think they do all this so that you think you are being taken care of -- NOT. Will NEVER go there again. Had a much better experience at Gilbert Emergency and Banner Ironwood on other occasions.
