  • Tis the season for Winterlicious, and as Sassafraz for my first stop, the bar has been set high and we'll see how the other participating restaurants fare. I started with the smoked salmon carpaccio, with mustard mousse on top, which left a smooth finish (and I don't even like mustard). I got the wild mushroom stuffed supreme of chicken for my entree, which was at the perfect moisture and was nicely seasoned to perfection. And I finished with the lemon tart, which came out to be nice and light, and not too sweet. In regards to the service, it was impeccable from start to finish. We never felt rushed or pressured when it came time to order, and our server had a lightheartedness to her. She would check up on us occasionally, while still giving us our space, and overall was just pleasant. Hopefully they're participating in Summerlicious, because lets face it, with my starving student budget, I won't be able to afford to go here on any given day.
