rev:text	This is a truly restful beautiful venue for a weekend lunch. The staff was more than accomodating to juggle our reservation for us by 20 min due to an unforseen delay, and the food was particularly good both in taste and presentation. The wine list, as one would gather from it's California wine region name and logo, was extensive and varied in choices and price points $-$$$. We were in a larger group with maybe only 3 or 4 small groups of patio and indoor patrons at most in the restaurant. And wait time on food was longer than expected though our orders had been taken in a timely fashion. Food delivery to the table was interestingly confusing...hence the 4 stars and not the 5th on my rating. It seems the waitress takes the order and also serves beverages but 2-3 servers circled the table delivering our dishes. There first was confusion about who had which soups and salads... Then on entree delivery the same 2-3 servers swarmed the table quickly placing entrees without asking what they'd ordered, in front of patrons who did not order them so then the switching of plates began. This also encompassed missing or incorrect side dishes to further the chaotic serving. I really am at a loss as to why so many would serve and do it not even correctly knowing or consulting the waitress who took the order!? This seems so very cumbersome a process that this establishment had it been a full lunch crowd would've had many frustrated patrons and group diners! Their process & execution of a concise efficient service to table of orders MUST be streamlined! Okay, now the best part of Sonoma Grille - the tastes and flavors of the meat, poultry, seafood and vegan dishes were impeccably spot on!!! Fresh, radiant spicing allowing the flavors of the food to shine! Ingredients were well matched and side dish pairings were colorful and made a very enhanced plating to all the main dish. Soups were savory and delicious. Crab bisque topped with creme friache, crab claw beignets and chive slivers was velvety in texture with superb taste. French Onion base was dark, deep noted and satisfyingly savory as well. We will frequent the Sonoma Grille again soon. It is a really great place and artistically done decor reflective of Sonoma Valley. We are hoping on return to find the food to table service less confusing and simplified.
