I brought in photos of the cut and color I wanted. My hair is naturally brunette; I wanted a darker base with a few highlights. My hair turned out soccer mom blonde. Photos of what I asked for and received are posted. The manager (owner?) first tried to tell me that the problem was that my hair wasn't curled, and it would look the way I wanted it I curled my hair. Then she said that the problem was that I wanted finer highlights. To her credit, she did offer to work on it some more. I declined.
Due to the color issues, I decided to wait on the new cut and asked for a trim instead, following the existing style. The cut was chunky, layers not blended like existing cut. The bottom was noticeably uneven. (Posting a pic of this, too.)
The reasons I'm giving them two stars instead of one are that 1) everyone was very friendly and 2) the manager/owner did offer to work on fixing the style. But after both being botched, I declined. This quality is not on par with what I usually experience at Aveda salons.
