| - Living in Bridgeview has been wonderful. I recommend to anyone who is in the young professional stage of their life. These apartments are great for starting out or as an intermediate step within life.
All of the staff members are friendly and very helpful. The leasing staff was wonderful - they answered all of my questions quickly and it was very easy to work through the lease process with them. The maintenance staff is great too - they once answered a 6AM call due to a pipe burst (it was a holiday weekend nonetheless). The apartment is typically kept very clean, especially the 5th and 6th floors as these are the most popular to walk across.
The location of Bridgeview makes the slight premium price worth it. The building is a short distance away from the Flats, two blocks from E 4th and you can easily catch a Cavs or Indians game (or Browns if you enjoy watching a losing team). There are plenty of places to eat, and there is a supermarket next door on the ground floor.
There is a small gym located within the building that has both free weights, cardio equipment as well as some machines. The gym can be messy at times but it usually cleaned up within a day. People seem courteous within the building as well, and usually everyone I see wipes everything down after using.
During the summer you have to experience the roof. It is a wonderful place to go up and gaze at downtown Cleveland during both the day and night (closes at 11PM). When there are concerts at Jacobs pavilion you can listen from the roof or go to the water, which is just outside the back door.
Internet was recently redone and now I show 100mbs download/upload. While I admit that when we first moved in the internet was slow, it has improved significantly and now I have zero problem. Since the upgrade, I have not had any issue streaming HD television to my Apple TV with Netflix, Hulu, or DirectTVNow during high internet usage hours (weekdays from 5-10pm). There are lots of wifi signals so get a good router and you should be fine (we have a wireless N and can access it from all rooms). Our 2 bedroom apartment had three ethernet ports, so we were able to wire all the important things (like the AppleTV to stream).
The price of the apartments can vary depending on when you lease. Ours was leased during non prime time (none were available when we wanted to lease - during summer), so we were able to snag a great deal. When we renewed our lease, they raised rent by 2% (less than inflation that year), which is significantly better than what I have heard from other buildings in the surrounding area.
The one con is that parking is very tight, but the staff admits this and happily offers the number for parking across the street (both cheaper and easier to park in, but isn't heated/cooled as it is in bridgeview.
Overall I have recommended people to live here. I personally think this is one of the best buildings to live in within the downtown Cleveland area.
