  • I wrote a review about True Foods a couple of months ago and it wasn't in their favor. I received a very nice email from them advising that my review was appreciated and while I didn't have a great experience, they would certainly like me to give their establishment another shot. After all, they pride their restaurant in great customer service and excellent food quality and they want their guest to return. I was provided a gift card to try it again and today was the day for me to see if my last experience was a fluke or if my experience was not uncommon. Since I was by myself, I sat at the bar and was greeted by a friendly smile and immediate service. Already a better experience. I ordered the same thing as last time, grass-fed beef with no mayo nor bun and a kale salad without breadcrumbs. My food swiftly came out, but when I bit into the medium burger their was an abundance of char. Since I know that some restaurants like to char their burgers I asked the bartender if this was the way the burger was supposed to be cooked. It was cooked medium, as I asked, it was just charred on the outside. He immediately took my plate, apologized and advised he would get me a new dish. That was not my intention, but the proactivity and eagerness to please his customer was apparent. Within a short time a manager, named Desiree, approached me with my new order and graciously thanked me for my patience and apologized for how my previous burger came out. When I placed my cards on the table to pay the tab, I was brought a check without an amount due. Desiree again approached me thanking me for coming in. I can tell you that my experience today was one that I will always remember, in a positive way. It's not about them taking care of the tab, it's 100% about the fact that my bartender took ownership without me asking for my burger being sent back, the manager apologizing for the mistake, my second meal tasting absolutely amazing, and having an optimal customer experience. I will be back and hope that others will read this review and give True Foods a try. Well done, True Foods! Thank you for an amazing customer experience and a delicious lunch!
