| - Saw this pace on Triple D and had to try it. In a word - magnificent. The food here is phenomenally good, everything on the menu. Just exquisite flavors and textures. No, you are not going to be served chips and salsa, but rather bread and an olive tapenade that is to die for. Yes, they do offer tacos and enchiladas, but the are not what you are used to in all other Mexican restaurants. This is one of the best restaurants in Phoenix, regardless of the style of cuisine. I would eat here again and again, and oh, by the way, I am a chef and a very, very picky one at that. Two downers - no draft beer, just bottles. The other is that our server was less than attentive for the price of the food. Not horrible, but just not up to the quality and price of the food. I had to ask for a refill on my drink, which a good waiter would have done automatically without my having to ask. That's the reason for not giving this place 5 stars, and the only one. Pricey, yes, but worth every penny.
