  • I do this to myself every single time.....I see a tourist attraction and think that I HAVE to do it. That is exactly what happened this time. I blame the City Pass, which made it harder to resist given that it was included as part of that package. The CN Tower is unique in that it is the third tallest tower in the world. It does have some nice features that make it more than just a giant elevator to get to the top. It has a glass floor, which was exciting/terrifying to stand on. You can also walk around the top outside in a harness if you like spending hundreds of dollars on thrills. It has a restaurant at the top, which is pretty expensive. I was disappointed to find out that you have to pay an extra $12 to go to the SkyPod level, which I was unwilling to do. This place is expensive just to do the basic things...you can truly end up spending a lot here, which my husband would classify as the most terrifying part of this attraction. I will say that the views at the top were pretty incredible. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the line wasn't so long. We went on a weekday during the middle of the day (what a mistake) and we waited 90 minutes to get to the top. I did appreciate that the Tower has free wifi and a juggler that performs while waiting in line, but still it was pretty painful. I would recommend going right when they open. We made the mistake of doing the aquarium (which is right next door) first and paid for that mistake dearly. In sum, if you like tall buildings and have cash to spend, you should check it out.
