I was very disappointed with the way AHG handled my air conditioning system problem. Sonoran Home Services came out for repair and spent 2.5 hours doing nothing but adding 2 pounds of coolant (cost me $100 for the service fee and coolant). That did nothing to cool down my unit. I had very little confidence in the service man as he did not seem to know what to do and mostly sat for those 2.5 hours. There was no improvement in cooling. Several days later, a different service man (I requested someone else) came out and said I had a bad reversing valve. Not sure why the first guy did not see that. AHG picked up the charge for the valve and labor and I had to pay $370 for another service fee and a complete recharge. Still not cooling any better. I decided to buy a completely new unit as the A/C is 17 years old. I talked with AHG and they put me on hold to talk to the manager about me getting some compensation for a new unit (I knew they would not pay right out for a new unit and did not want to go through Sonoran Home Services for a purchase). The manager was conveniently on another line. I was told there would be a call-back right away after the manager was appraised of the situation. That was 3 days ago. I would never trust this company with an A/C unit again. Their practices are also shady. AHG owns Sonoran Home Services, which to me, is also odd. I am sure it saves them a lot of money to also own the service company (A/C, plumbing, and small appliiance repair) but beware the level of expertise the employees have.
