Wish I'd never walked in.
When I pointed out that some shirts advertised as "linen pieces" were actually 60% rayon and only 10% linen, a salesperson and the store manager (!) said that "that just means it's made of 'some linen.'" I just find that attitude shocking. She removed the sign but implied that I was taking it too literally.
I was expecting someone to say "yes, thanks for pointing that out" as they might at a better store but nope; none of the staff saw any problem with the sign which I think calls their business ethics into question, that they don't have any real qualms about deceiving their customers. They then blamed their marketing department for making the sign and their management for insisting on its store placement.
If they're trying to drive customers online or to their competitors, they've succeeded.
Update: I called the company, who said it takes customer complaints very seriously. Well, here's how "seriously" they took it: over two weeks later and the sign's still up.
