From the looks of the outside, I thought this place was a diner. It was more of a fast food joint unlike others.
Original beef sandwich for me after the cashier generously took the time to explain to me about the sandwiches and a brief about the Al's restaurant chain.
I've never been to Chicago or had a Chicago-style sandwich like this so I had no frame of reference to determine if they were good or not. On it's own, nothing special - bread, meat, peppers, & au jus. I think there's an option to have the wich soaked in the au jus; I'll have it next time.
Fries were good too, by the way. Fresh cut like In-N-Out, but bigger and tastier.
3 stars because I like french dips and for the really polite staff.
