| - Muji's stuff vs. Toronto stuff:
1) Muji's cheap but quality pens
Well, we have Bic, Pilot, and a million free pens from networking. But Muji pens are actually quite nice. How about...
- a writing pen? For me, I can use cheap/free ones. I have 3 Yelp pens.
- a drawing pen? I have my go-to pens and Muji isn't my first choice.
2) Muji's stackable clear shelves and drawers
Ok I buy mine from Amazon, Walmart, Homesense, and SOLUTIONS (Heartland, Mississauga). Solutions is super best. I thought the prices at Muji were decent but everything is disappearing off the store. The shopping experience here is NONE.
Amazon and eBay also sell cheap drawers that take 1 month for shipping.
3) Muji's pyjamas and other clothing
Comparing Muji Toronto's prices... H&M, Ardene, and even Victoria's Secret on sale would be much better.
4) beauty stuff. scented stuff. other pretty stuff
Really??? As a Canadian who has access to Well.ca and American online stores, I have my own favourite brands for all these things. I really have NO reason to buy the Muji brand.
So after visiting a Muji store in HONG KONG then finally, I get it. Muji is a necessity in Hong Kong and I bought my tank tops for work from Muji. Because my options were H&M, UNIQLO, Maple, and thousands of expensive Korean brands. Also the prices in Muji HK are reasonable for quality stuff! Muji HK has kitchen, bathroom, and food!! I can in fact buy a kettle for decent price. It really is a one-stop shop with nice quality stuff within budget.
In Toronto however, the prices in Muji are NOT reasonable. I'm not sure how it'll survive??? But then again you see mountains of people at Muji. Where were they before?? why are they gathered here.
