This star is not deserved.... My family and I have attended prince of peace for many years and enjoyed everything about it .. Well I just so happens that our 9 month old granddaughter has to have major surgery on her skull and her parents were given very short notice and they were scrambling to get her baptized and because they didn't have her birth certificate on hand ( which is in storage) the current priest would not baptize this child... Even though she is having life threatening surgery, he told my son when she's on her death bed he can call him and he will come and baptize but if he don't make in time he gave my son directions on how to be a stand in for him....
The story goes on but I will not get into it..
I will just say that it is a sad when when an arrogant priest will say no to baptizing a child for a lack of a document that could have been provided at a later date...
Usually anyone would be caring and compassionate about the situation but the Parochial Vicar at Prince of Peace was not. And isn't it their job to be caring and compassionate and to teach it as well?
I am thankful that the child is doing great and that Jesus has watched over her, she will get baptized somewhere else.
Meanwhile, our family will never step foot back in Prince of Peace, which is sad because we have been going there for over 13 years and live nearby.
