| - The Wynn is, hands down, the best hotel in Las Vegas. It isn't gaudy. It doesn't smell like cigarette smoke. It's always clean--even the casino area. The theme of the entire hotel is Picasso's "Le Rêve", so if you are into modern cubism you will love the decor.
The lines at the check-in/out desk are ridiculously long. It helps that there is an outdoor patio area where you can sit, have a cocktail and enjoy the outdoor waterfall (there is always a light show at night, too!) while your man stands in line and checks in line for your group. That's what I did!
We stayed in a double-bed room, and it was pretty huge. We could have easily fit 2-4 extra cots and had more people stay with us. The beds were comfortable and linen was high quality, as expected. Flat screen, wall-mounted TV, as expected. One big wall as a window to let in the sun, as expected. The only thing I really didn't expect was having a flat-screen TV in the bathroom and in the toilet room. Lol
On the first level of of the hotel, you will find the standard, but cleaner-than-usual, casino and various restaurants. We tried both Alessandro Stratta's restaurants: Alex (5 AAA Diamonds, 5 Mobil Stars, 2 Michelin Stars) and Stratta. Both were exceptional, and dining experiences I will never forget!! Steve Wynn really knew what he was doing when he invited Stratta over to Las Vegas.
But let's keep this Yelp review focused on the Wynn, shall we? Another feature of the Wynn Las Vegas is the high-end boutiques. I was stopped in my tracks when I saw the Alexander McQueen, Manolo Blahnik, and most of all, Oscar de la Renta!
If you are going to stay at the Wynn, please watch "Le Rêve". It was an amazing show, and on par to Cirque du Soleil. If you've never seen a Cirque du Soleil show, or anything like it, you haven't really lived.
