As far as piano bars go, this one is pretty good! Love the musicians / performers! Incredibly talented!
Some of the issues include unfriendly staff & reserved seating. My issue is with the amount of "reserved seating" (translation- empty seats while active paying customers are sent to the nose bleeds) early in the evening. We sat for over an hour over a sea of empty chairs & tables.
We had to open a tab at the bar due to the lack of wait staff in the nosebleeds. After we had gotten our drinks, a waitress came by and asked if we needed anything. We had just been to the bar.
When we later ordered an additional beverage, she let us know that she could not put it on the tab that we already started & asked specifically for cash. I gave her a $5 for a $3 drink & never saw her again.
On a side note (pun intended), when I ordered a Cherry Coke from the bar, the blond bartender responded with a cool "we don't have Cherry Coke..." in front of the bar box of cherries.
"Do you have any cola products..?" I asked
"Yeah..." she responded.
I looked down at the cherries & said "problem solved". She was visibly irritated by the situation & it's Bartending 101 to use grenadine or cherry juice in a mixed Cherry Coke.
My advice to management at Low Key is to step up the quality of your service staff. You may also want to spring for some full tops for your waitresses... you're a piano bar, not a Hooters or a cabaret.
Sex does sell, but quality customer service sells more.
