  • There's a reason the Sole Sports community is so tight knit and loyal. From the moment you walk through the door of one of their stores, you're welcomed into that family of runners, and whether you are just starting to get into running or you're an elite competitor, they treat you with the same professionalism and respect. I went in for the first time about 7 years ago when I was running cross country in high school, and the team did a thorough gait analysis using a frame-by-frame camera and treadmill to see what my weaknesses were in my feet and ankles. They then used that data to find the perfect shoe for my extremely low arches and tendency to over-pronate. Ultimately we settled on the Saucony Guide series, which I believe back then was on its 5th iteration. I have purchased at least one pair of each new iteration and I just bought the newest version, the Guide ISO, yesterday. After a smooth and comfortable run in them, I am still in love! I am so grateful for the time the Sole Sports team members have taken with me every single time I came in for new shoes. They always bring out a few different brands and help me choose the best one for me (even though every single time I end up choosing the Saucony Guide series-- I am just a creature of habit, and they are so reliable!) Over the years I have trained for 5Ks, half marathons, and marathons, and they have always been there to offer advice on race fuels (honey stingers are my fav!), the best long-distance socks that will prevent blisters, and training shoes. They also encourage participation in their group training runs which meet at the store on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings! It is a totally non-intimidating atmosphere and you can choose how far you want to run depending on your own training plan. I have brought in both of my sisters to get fitted for running shoes at Sole Sports and we all are loyal customers now! I hope Sole Sports never closes because they are my absolute favorite place to buy shoes and other running gear!
