| - So I went back on a Saturday night for a regular show. I was going as part of a bachelorette party group. Scary, I know.
I am generally embarrassed to be part of a bachelorette party group, because it ends up being a bunch of way, way too drunk women. Usually with a few older ladies who haven't been out in a while embarrassing themselves, and some creepy penis related things like the always clever penis straws.
So we are meeting for the 8PM show, and since I am so close, I ride my bike up to meet them. The majority of the party is coming from North Phoenix on a party bus. When I pull up to the Comedy Spot I find out the party bus cannot find the place, and the group has missed the 8PM show. There was another gal from the bachelorette party waiting out front as well. We introduce ourselves, and find out the group is rescheduled for the 10PM show. Unfortunately, we cannot get a hold of the bride on her cell. So we are stranded in front of the Comedy Spot sweating our asses off. The guys that worked there were super nice, took pity on our asses, and let us come in to wait and get drinks at the back bar. Seriously, they saved us from hating life.
We hung there, and enjoyed ourselves till the party bus full of drunk ladies showed up. I will skip all the drunken drama and antics that were going on before the 10PM show. Imagine any night with a group of really drunk women some friends and some relatives, there was crying, fighting, dancing on the stripper pole in the bus....you get the picture. I wasn't drunk so it was a little surreal.
Finally, we ended up at the show, and again it was hilarious. There was one clunker, but there seems to be at least one in any comedy show. The service was great, and I'd like to the security for not kicking us out when the drunken bride kept shouting out to the comedians!
