I gave them a chance to make it right, but they didn't so here is my review.
Our SUV was bumped in a drive thru, the person who hit us wanted to do a cash pay which we were fine with. They chose Gerber for some unknown reason. We got a bid that we all agreed on.
When I dropped off the car I SPECIFICALLY said I am NOT paying for this, you have to get payment info from this other person. They called and got the payment info.
Then, they apparently found "more damage" which is BS, and the car needed additional repairs. They did not call me, they did not call the person who was paying. They just did the work, without permission from anyone.
I go in to pick up my car and they are literally holding it hostage, they won't let me have my car back until this unauthorized work was paid for.
The manager then proceeded to SCREAM at me when I confronted him about what happened. I have witnesses who could not believe the way this guy spoke to a customer. I had to get my car back, so I paid and immediately called Amex to dispute the charge. I gave him a chance to make it right but refused.
This company performed unauthorized work and STOLE from me.
