  • I met the Sunrun salesman at the home show a little over a week ago. Although there was other solar companies there, I chose Sunrun because of the pleasant salesman. I gave him my phone number so that he could call me the next day so that I could talk to my husband about a time that would work for him to have the salesman come out to our house. Instead of calling the next day like he said, he called 2 days later, which I didn't mind. I scheduled the appointment for the following Monday morning at 9 a.m. I was going to be at work but my husband would be at home. 40 minutes before Daniel was supposed to be at our house, he called me while I was driving to work. He said that he was on Google Maps satellite view looking at our house and he noticed a solar hot water heater on the roof. I informed him that we moved into the house a year-and-a-half prior and that the solar hot water heater does not work. He asked me if we were planning on taking it down, I told him I really didn't know but that he could talk to my husband when he gets there. He continued to talk about the panel, and I had to interrupt him to ask if he was still coming to our house. I gathered by his questions and the timing, that he was looking for a reason not to come. He said, no I will not be coming because with that solar hot water heater on the roof there is nothing I can do because that is where the panels would have to go. I thought that was the whole reason a Salesman would come to your house, is to talk about things like that and the options. I'm sure my husband would have been more than willing to take down that non-working solar hot water heater on the roof. But the salesman already had it in his mind that for whatever reason, he did not want to come at his scheduled time. Obviously to the salesman, Daniel, time is important and he didn't want to waste it. But he did not mind wasting my husband's time, who stayed home for this meeting on his one day off this week instead of doing other things that may have needed done. We certainly have the interest in getting solar, and we have the funds to do so. Obviously Sunrun does not want our business. Good thing there are other solar companies to choose from. Customer service means nothing anymore!!!
